On reflection, Billy knew he shouldn't have taken Kate with him to go see Anole. Sure, he knew the two got on well (Who didn't Anole get on with, really), and he knew Kate wanted to take the opportunity to visit Laura (Who, thankfully, had neither the tendency to kill young mages or hit on Kree-Skull hybrids that her respective father and brother had, even if she WAS more than a little scary), but, really, nothing was worth this.
He groaned as his arms ached from the bags in his hands. Next to him, Scott shot him a sympathetic glance through his red glasses. The older mutant was laden down with, if it was possible, even more bags.
